Latin Soul Records

What began as an Internet radio station “The Latin
Soul Show Radio” with only 5 listeners in 2005,
increased with over 1,000 listeners in 2007
including over 100,000 visitors hitting the site has
now expanded into an independent record label.

Andres Padua of the New York City began Latin
Soul Records on May 2006 under the advisory of
his favorite Latin Soul and Salsa recording artist
Joe Acosta (The J.A Band).

At the age of 5, he heard Joe Acosta’s Sweet Latin
Soul tune “I Need Her” that eventually changed his
music preference from a Rock fan to Latin Soul
and Salsa fan.

The Power of Love by Joe Acosta was the first CD released on the label that has
been out of print for over 30 years and never reissued on either vinyl or compact
disc. The CD was packaged with a video montage and a bonus track “All Night
Long” that was never released.

Within 9 months, Latin Soul Records produced approximately 5 CDs including Ray
Rodriguez, La Fantastica – From Ear to Ear, Papo Felix and Orquesta Dee Jay. The
label continues to expand with new music on their roster. Former lead singer of the
Lebron Brothers, Eliot Rivera joins Latin Soul Records after disassociating himself
with Latin Americana Records.

Writer and Arranger Phil Ocasio (Pip'e Y La Orq Divina, Cimaron) and Eliot Rivera
(The Singing Sax) as the lead singer, are working together on a brand new
Salsa/Merengue single titled “King Kong” or “Spanish: Kin Kon. King Kong will be
the first new single on Latin Soul Records. Padua anticipates King Kong will be a
club floor burner.

Dustin Anthony Aka DJ Duste (Salsa Congress) remixed the single “I Need Her” by
Joe Acosta now known as The J.A Band is soon to make its radio debut on Latin,
Urban, R&B, Smooth Jazz and Pop commercial stations for the summer of 2007.

In 2007 Latin Soul Records opens its door to the Rock industry that has been slowly
losing it popularity and hopefully regain its former glory with a new subsidiary label
“Rock N Soul Records” under the general manager and producer Alison Szul.
